Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust has released its 2014-15 Annual Report, designed by Artful Dog.
An 88-page perfect-bound printed report and an online version cover all aspects of what the Trust does, the progress it has made in delivering services and its financial accounts.
Our client wanted a creative and professional with clear navigation, with an engaging, image-led strategic report at the front and a simple back section that includes the Trust’s sustainability report, annual governance statement, directors’ report, and financial and accounting data.
The strategic report uses photography from around the Trust’s five hospitals to show the diversity of people, roles and expertise that help deliver outstanding healthcare.
Our design highlights short case studies, and we pulled positive quotes and facts from the copy to draw in readers. Pointers to further information are clear and have been made hyperlinks in the online version. We recreated existing graphs, diagrams and tables to match the look and feel of the report, and produced a one-page infographic reflecting the Trust’s “year in numbers”.
The design of the back section is noticeably different. It uses a simple one-column text-only format and clear tables for information about process and structures, Board members and income and expenditure.
Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is one of England’s largest NHS trusts, employing more than 10,000 staff. It comprises five hospitals in London: Charing Cross, Hammersmith, Queen Charlotte’s & Chelsea, St Mary’s and Western Eye.
